Burramine Wrap

Asked around at the mosque and no one knew where Burramine is. I wonder why we have a Gift named after a place that doesn't exist?
So today's song is inspired by an answer I got from a work mate: "Burramine, where the f^^k is Burramine?"

The Sheik, just to throw it out there I thought I saw a sign that said Burramine Cemetery just out of Yarrawonga on the Murray Valley Highway heading towards Cobram. So my guess is Burramine was a small town that no longer has a track suitable to run on. Keep the great songs going they are a pleasure to read......also maybe the town/hamlet is that small google maps can't even find it

in 1975 I drove from Sydney to burramine to run in gift ,spent an hour looking for burramine until some local suggested we go to Yarrawonga for running

just made it in time for gift ran awfull after all the drama

It certainly does exist even if it is now just a spot on the map. Out on the road between between Yarrawonga & Katamatite there is a church there and behind that church is where the original meeting was held all those years ago.

You should have bought the 60th anniversary book on Burramine while you were there on the weekend and you could have read all about it.
