It must be getting close to Easter, tensions are high. But, before we get to Stawell we get to attend one of the most picturesque strips of grass on the circuit. Geelong holds a special place for this old boy having run at multiple venues with some success. Do I remember correctly that one year they did actually serve apple crumble in the cafe?

Cast a vote.

Easier Said Than Run

Jake Penny ran a 10.17 with a 2.9 tail last week. Throw in wind and synthetic track adjustment, he has potential to run under 10.20 on the grass this week from 2m. Stevens surely can’t match him off levels and he has the likes of Riali, Carter, Ashcroft and Dunmall covered from their close hcps.

What do people think?

Penny may be a good thing here. has this field covered.

Cam Dunbar the flying veteran could continue team Ireland’s good form, but penny will be hard to beat if at the top of his game, Dion Paull is another one to watch. Should be a decent final.

Liking the looks of Geelong and some quality backies I think it’ll go to someone in the red, white or grey.

Penny moving unbelievably well hopefully can keep that form up for the rest of the season. Any chance he might get pulled for that 10.17 (even if it was windy)? Still agreed with ESTR, Riali and Ashcroft were in that race as well and Penny would have them covered even with 4m I reckon.

Stevens moving well too but with the shorter race... think it might not be his forté. Dunmall showing he’s in some form with some blistering 70’s makes me think he’ll be giving it a good showing.

Front marker to watch for me is still Rosen. If he’s in 11.5-11.6 track shape could be looking for a very good time off 12. Last years was won in 10.6 off 88 with the same MPS that’s only a 12s 100m (someone check my maths there!)

Penny ran a juicy 10.36 tonight down at Glenhuntly, hard to see him lose this one based off that run, the one to watch for me this week

a few votes for the ammo runner penny.
wish the big fella the best of luck but dont see him taking this one.
unfortunately, history shows us that amature boys struggle under the pressures of pro running.
therefore, the ant to dominate the field and penny to enjoy a big plate of apple krumble before the gift final
