This was Casey Buchanans first sash in what was a very high quality race, with Lachi Burrows setting out after the front markers Turner& Jurado with Buchanan trying to stick onto Lachi,s tale, and making it very hard for the classy Hamish Petheric to tack on from his 15m mark,rounding the turn together stable mates Burrows and Buchanan were well clear of Petheric and it was only Buchanans great will to win that got him home in a very good Under 14/s race!
